Where to stay in Fethiye – The best Fethiye hotels

If you’re researching where to stay in Fethiye, you’ve already picked the perfect Turkish seaside town for your holiday. This highly popular city sits on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast, boasting a large harbour area, lots of shops, bars and restaurants, and some excellent beaches. Unlike some of Turkey’s other tourist areas, Fethiye has a very ‘local’ and authentic Turkish feel, particularly in the Old Town. It’s a vibrant town with a lot to see and do, making it the ideal spot to spend your summer holiday.
After exploring Fethiye for two weeks and staying in some excellent hotels, we’ve assembled a list of some of the best places to stay in Fethiye to help you compare areas and hotel options. All of the below Fethiye hotels have excellent Tripadvisor reviews (4.5/5+). There’s also a mix of accommodation options for every budget.
What’s the best area to stay in Fethiye?
Being such a large city, Fethiye encompasses multiple areas, each with their own unique charm and attractions. We compare all three and share some of the best hotels in each location. Choose the area you like the sound of best!
Fethiye Marina

Located just a short walk from the Old Town, Fethiye Marina is where some of the most upmarket Fethyie hotels are located. Boasting some excellent 4 and 5-star boutique accommodation options, the marina is excellent for those that want to be close to town, waking up to beautiful marina views on a morning.
We recommend a hotel near the marina for those that want a luxurious place to stay in Fethiye and more of a ‘town’ environment over ‘beach resort’. The luxury hotels here are very good value compared to other European destinations. If you’re searching where to stay in Fethiye and location is important to you, but so is a good hotel with relaxation areas, the marina is ideal.
Fethiye Old Town

For those that aren’t bothered about staying in a hotel with lots of facilities, a swimming pool and many of the other holiday expenses, a budget-friendly hotel in Fethiye Old Town is a great option. You’re located in the very heart of Fethiye, with market stalls, bars, restaurants and authentic shops on your doorstep. Staying in Fethiye Old Town will immerse you into Turkish culture and it feels a lot less touristic than the other options on our list.
Calis Beach

The go-to place to stay in Fethiye for those that want a traditional beach holiday. Calis is an area to the north of Fethiye town, so you’ll need to get a taxi to many of the main attractions. Alternatively, a boat taxi operates frequently between Calis Beach and Fethiye Old Town.
Calis beach has a typical tourist resort feel but without the ‘tackiness’ of some other Turkish resorts. It lacks the excellent dining options compared to Fethiye Old Town and marina. However, it has some great accommodation options for all budgets, plus a major attraction; the long sandy beach. It also hosts the majority of Fethiye’s half board and all inclusive hotels. These are less common in other areas of town.
The wider Fethiye area

Surrounding Fethiye is a number of beach coves, islands and coastal inlets, many of which you’ll explore by boat during your visit. If you fancy somewhere a little more secluded and relaxing, consider staying in a resort on the coast, or along Fethiye’s cliffside. These are a little harder to get to. However, the seaside views and idyllic atmosphere is perfect for relaxation. Hillside Beach Club is the perfect example of this!

Starting with our favourite Fethiye hotel, the Yacht Boheme is a chic, trendy and uniquely designed hotel that overlooks Fethiye Marina. With a very small number of rooms, it provides an intimate resort experience that’s perfect for couples, and particularly those that like the ‘bohemian’ style. Everything from the rooms to the corridors and restaurant is decorated with a bohemian look.
It has a good choice of luxurious room options, many of which have outdoor whirlpool bathtubs and large rainfall showers. It also has a small swimming pool with high quality loungers, a restaurant and energetic bar area, which often hosts live music events. Yacht Boheme suits those that want a quirky, luxury hotel experience and don’t mind paying higher prices. Food and drink is generally more expensive than other hotels.
Yacht Classic Hotel (Luxury)

For the ultimate luxury boutique hotel experience, check out Yacht Classic, the Yacht Boheme’s sister hotel. 5-star rated, this hotel has a bright and airy theming that’s much like the marina it overlooks. Outdoor restaurants with a view, a large swimming pool and some fantastic balcony views are the highlights, along with the high quality service and food.
The Yacht Classic is famously known for being the residence of Daniel Craig, aka James Bond. He stayed here whilst filming the ‘Skyfall’ movie. The Yacht Classic hotel is a great all-rounder hotel that appeals to anyone. However, it’s also one of the most expensive places to stay in Fethiye. It’s one of the best Fethiye hotels for those that want a high-end luxury hotel experience within walking distance of the old town.
Hotel Unique (Moderately-priced)
View on Booking.com | Tripadvisor rating 5/5
Not quite as expensive as the Yacht brand hotels but just as trendy and packed with facilities, Hotel Unique is a small, quaint hotel with an impressive rooftop area. Themed in a modern, bright style with French furniture and accents, Hotel Unique is the perfect place to stay for those that want a mid-priced hotel near the Fethiye marina and Old Town area.
Some of our favourite aspects of this hotel include the scenic infinity pool on its rooftop, with large lounger beds. It also has a very good restaurant, which is also on the rooftop. Here, you can enjoy a romantic meal sitting on the restaurant terrace. It overlooks the swimming pool below and marina in the distance.
El Camino Hostel (Budget)

El Camino Hostel is the best hostel in the Fethiye area based on customer reviews. It looks out to the marina on the side of a mountain, providing some excellent views of town and the docked boats in the marina. With basic but well maintained rooms and a social environment, it’s one of the best Fethiye hotels for solo travellers that want to meet other travellers. It’s also great for those that want a super cheap and friendly place to stay.
The hostel has its own rooftop bar, social ‘hangout’ areas with games tables and lots of room options. Choose to stay in the value hostel dorm, or book a private room with a view.

Fethiye Old Town Suites (Budget-friendly)

If you’re looking for a cosy apartment in the very centre of Fethiye Old Town, check out the Fethiye Old Town Suites. This small but top-rated collection of suites has the many shops, bars, restaurants and promenade of Fethiye on its doorstep. It’s also a short walk from the Amyntas Rock Tomb attraction.
Apartments are basic, but bright modern and affordable. They give you plenty of space compared to most hotel rooms and you have the option to cook your own meals. We recommend Downtown Fethiye Suites for those that are looking for an affordable stay with a great location and aren’t bothered about a swimming pool or other hotel amenities.
Orka Boutique Hotel (Moderately-priced)
View on Booking.com | Tripadvisor rating 4.5/5
Another great value hotel that’s located in the heart of Fethiye centre is Orka Boutique Hotel. With amazing views of the marina and promenade, an upgrade to a sea-view room here is well worth the added cost! Rooms are small but modern, featuring a balcony area where you can relax with a morning coffee or evening cocktail. It’s the perfect spot to soak in the atmosphere of the streets below.
Orka Boutique Hotel is a small but well-appointed accommodation option for those that want to be on the doorstep to Fethiye’s popular walking promenade. Within seconds you can jump on a boat trip, dine in one of several restaurants or grab a drink in a promenade bar.
Calis Beach
Sundia Exclusive by Liberty (Luxury)
View on Booking.com | Tripadvisor rating 5/5
Sundia Exclusive by Liberty is one of the most popular places to stay in the Calis Beach area and there’s always something going on. During the day, its sun loungers are occupied by lovers of the hot weather, often with some chilled music and an upbeat atmosphere. It has a large pool area that’s exclusive for guests, which leads directly to Calis Beach’s promenade.
Rooms are decorated with a modern art-deco style and the overall design of the hotel is uniquely trendy. Sundia Exclusive by Liberty suits those that want a luxurious boutique hotel that’s in the centre of the Calis Beach action. It’s close to many bars and restaurants, sits directly opposite the beach and has an atmosphere that appeals to couples and groups of friends.
Ten Apart Hotel (Budget-friendly)
View on Booking.com | Tripadvisor rating 4.5/5
Ten Apart Hotel is a beautifully traditional hotel just inland from Calis Beach. Its secluded location is a peaceful retreat away from the often bustling beach area, suiting those that want a quieter place to stay in Fethiye. It’s only a short walk from the beach area, many bars and restaurants, and a unique attraction to check out, Calis Nature Park.
The rooms at Ten Apart Hotel are fully equipped apartments with a traditional wooden décor. They lack modern design but make up for it in character. We personally love the variety of flowers and neatly manicured greenery that surrounds the swimming pool and common areas.
Hotel Letoon (Budget-friendly)
View on Hotels.com | Tripadvisor rating 4.5/5
Suiting families and couples that want a traditional beach holiday with affordable accommodation by the beach, Hotel Letoon is a small but highly-rated Calis Beach hotel. It has direct access to the beach from its garden area and a large, open pool area that’s secluded from the main promenade.
Rooms are small and basic but bright and well maintained, providing an affordable place to base yourself for a cheap week away. It also has a bar and adjoining restaurant area that has a great atmosphere on summer evenings. Aside from the price, the main draw to Hotel Letoon is its prime Calis location, which is on the doorstep for everything Calis has to offer. It’s one of the best Fethiye hotels for those that want a low cost but top-rated place to stay.
The wider area
TUI BLUE Sensatori Barut Fethiye (Luxury)
View on Booking.com | Tripadvisor rating 4.5/5
If you’re looking for a large resort that’s full of facilities, with a good all-inclusive option, consider TUI BLUE Sensatori Barut Fethiye hotel. Like many of the hotels in the TUI Blue brand, expect a large, modern resort with multiple dining options, a spa, several pools and daily activities. It’s the type of resort where you can stay in the hotel all day and never get bored.
The hotel’s somewhat remote location at the far end of Calis Beach makes is a little more difficult to get around. You’ll need to hire a car, book taxis or go on day tours to explore the nearby area. Therefore, we recommend TUI BLUE Sensatori Barut for those that want full days of relaxation in their hotel making full use of the facilities, with occasional sightseeing day-trips. It’s one of the best Fethiye hotels on our list for relaxing beach holidays.
Hillside Beach Club (Luxury)
View on Hotels.com | Tripadvisor rating 4.5/5
A popular venue for weddings and lavish seaside events, Hillside Beach Club is a 5-star hotel and day-club destination that has a somewhat famous reputation. It’s perched in a secluded cove around the peninsula from Fethiye town, featuring its own private beach, bars, restaurants, water sports and an upbeat beach atmosphere.
Everything from the sunsets, to the food, evening entertainment and secluded appeal of Hillside Beach Club make it a hotel that visitors return to every year. It best suits families, couples and singles that prefer a quite beach location over Fethiye’s bustling town. It has everything you need for a beach holiday, all in one place. However, that does mean you’ll need to hire a car or use taxis to explore the wider Fethiye area.
Our top tips for finding and booking a hotel in Fethiye

- Fethiye can provide two very different holiday experiences: a traditional beach holiday in Calis, or a town and marina type of holiday. When researching where to stay in Fethiye, choose an area to stay that suits you best. You can visit other areas of Fethiye very easily. Your base location is the most important.
- Compare prices for your chosen dates using a comparison website such as Tripadvisor or Trivago. These search engines will find the cheapest hotel booking site for your dates. In addition to this, be sure to search for a ‘promo code’ for the booking site you choose for extra money off.
- Eating out in Fethiye is very cheap compared to European destinations. Therefore, an apartment with cooking facilities might be less convenient in this destination. You can easily find a cheap breakfast, lunch or dinner option nearby.
- If you plan on hiring a car during your stay, consider booking a hotel that isn’t directly within Fethiye Old Town. The outskirts of Fethiye marina or Calis Beach is better for car parking. You’ll also skip the busy traffic of the city centre.
- On a similar note, check if your chosen hotel has free parking. Many hotels in Fethiye don’t and you’ll have to use street parking. This can prove difficult to find a space.
- Breakfast is included for most hotel stays in Fethiye. We recommend checking that breakfast is included before booking and choosing a hotel with free breakfast.
- All-inclusive hotel options can be popular in Turkey but there aren’t a lot/any to choose from in Fethiye town. The Calis Beach area is the best place to stay if you want a half-board or all-inclusive hotel.
Thanks for reading our guide on where to stay in Fethiye. There are plenty of accommodation options for every budget and you’ll soon find that it’s a great value place to stay. Always remember to compare different booking sites for your chosen hotel and dates to find the best price available.
