If you’re looking for one of the most romantic restaurants on the island of Rhodes, Philosophia Beach Taverna is an excellent contender. This sophisticated restaurant is perched on top of the cliff-side, overlooking Pefkos Beach and the horizon in the distance. Arrive just before sunset and you’ll have the most amazing views of the bay, with orange skies and a sun-kissed ocean.
Food and drinks are a little more expensive than other restaurants in the area but still very reasonable for a restaurant of its kind and the service is unrivalled. Order from a menu of Greek traditional dishes and Mediterranean classics and spend your evening sipping on fine wine and enjoying the great views with your partner. We recommend booking in advance and asking for a balcony table for the most romantic experience. Thinking of proposing on your holiday? This is an ideal Pefkos restaurant for popping the question. Artemis Garden Restaurant

Set in a beautiful garden environment, Artemis Garden Restaurant offers a unique dining experience with some excellent food. In fact, the food is the best thing about it! Dishes are beautifully presented and have perfectly sized portions. You’ll find everything from Greek Souvlaki specials to fresh seafood, vegetables and grilled meats. The menu is varied but not too overpacked!
We recommend arriving early evening to see the restaurant grounds in the sunlight, before it descends to darkness and the dimmed lights give it a totally different appearance. That way you get to experience both settings! Alternatively, head back for lunch – there’s every reason to visit twice! Artemis is a firm favourite for tourists staying in the area, has been recently refurbished into its enchanting garden setting and the reviews speak for themselves.

Dapapa

Located just outside of the main Pefkos resort area so you’ll need to catch a cab or take a leisurely walk to get here, Dapapa is a hidden gem of a place to eat. It overlooks the secluded Kavos Beach from above and is surrounded by trees and bushes, producing one of the most romantic spots you’ll find in Rhodes. It may not have the buzzing atmosphere and classy ambience of other restaurants in Pefkos, however it oozes traditional appeal, prodiving peace and quiet away of the main town.
Spend your evening (or a lunchtime with a view) at Dapapa and indulge in homemade Greek food such as grilled fish, Gyros, or a simple but delicious pizza. The menu has something for everyone! We personally recommend the Sea Bass, with a bite of Halloumi to start. Arrive in advance of the sun going down and ask for a table by the cliffside for the best sunset views of the bay. The restaurant has a private beach so feel free to visit during the day for quiet relaxation away from the Pefkos main beach, stopping by Dapapa for an afternoon beer or cocktail.

Kyma Beach Restaurant

We’re a big fan of sunset-perfect restaurants that overlook the beach in Pefkos, and Kyma Beach is a must-have feature on our list. This open-air Pefkos restaurant has ‘cabana style’ decking where you can perch on top of the cliff-side and gaze out directly at Kyma Beach and the bay below. It’s an idyllic setting to enjoy a classy dinner with a bottle of wine and chat amongst friends.
Pull up a stool to the restaurant bar after dinner for a refreshing drink and chat with the bartender. The staff are friendly, energetic and will welcome you with open arms!

Taverna Nikolas Restaurant

For the best of the best, sometimes it requires a little walking or a short taxi ride. Taverna Nikolas is located on the edge of Pefkos town, on the way to Lindos. It’s popular with both locals and tourists and you’ll immediately see why. On arrival, you’ll find a hilltop restaurant with an open decking, hosting tables that can see a beautiful view of the bay.
Whilst you can order a variety of Greek and International dishes from the menu, you should definitely stick to Greek as it’ll be one of the best meals you’ll have on your whole holiday! Homecooked Greek food is what Taverna Nikolas does best, even if you’re a vegetarian. We personally recommend the honey marinated lamb – you’ll thank us. Book a table in advance as it can get very busy on an evening.

Restaurant Tsambikos

Just off the main road that runs through Pefkos, Restaurant Tsambikos sits on a rooftop above a variety of shops and residential areas and its balcony location ensures some amazing views of the town and ocean on the horizon. However, it’s not just the views that make Tsambikos special, it’s 100% the food! It serves beautifully presented and what appears at to be gourmet dishes, but at very reasonable restaurant prices.
Indulge in fresh seafood caught that day, healthy pastas, flavoursome salads and well-made drinks. The desserts are also very good and well worth saving some room for! The prices at Tsambikos are a little more than you’d pay at nearby restaurants, but you’ll agree with us that it’s worth every penny once you’ve experienced it for yourself. If you’re celebrating a special occasion and want ambience, excellent views and even better food, Tsambikos Restaurant should already be saved on your Google Maps app.

Lee Beach Café Bar

For delicious Greek food, American classics, snacks and drinks at cheap prices, right near the beach, Lee Beach Café is where you’ll feel at home. This small but welcoming eatery overlooks the main Pefkos beach, with tables outside facing the ocean or cooler indoor tables if you want a break from the sun. The menu is varied but mainly consists of hearty Greek classics such as Gyros and Souvlaki, which they do very well!
We recommend eating lunch here whilst visiting the beach or arriving just before sunset and enjoying your evening meal with a nice view. The value for money at Lee Beach Cafe is unrivalled and it’s well worth visiting at least once during your holiday. You won’t find the ambience of more upmarket Pefkos restaurants, however great company, excellent food and amazing views is all you need sometimes…
